Whatcom Family Farmers | Floodplain Improvements
Whatcom Family Farmers wanted to highlighted how stakeholders can work together to solve the challenges of floodplain management.
This 3-part episodic series about projects along the Nooksack River, involved many locations throughout Whatcom County, multiple seasons, and a variety of video capture techniques (including timelapse!). Its final episode shifted focus following the major flooding events in Whatcom County in 2022. Whatcom Family Farmers harnessed socials to create interest around the series and bi-weekly release of each episode on their video platform.

KINEKT How-to Videos
KINEKT has many tools to help cyclists enjoy a smoother ride. Making their products more accessible, and helping customers choose between various options was the goal of these 6 how-to videos. Easy to understand, visually interesting and on brand, the finished step-by-step presentation and on-screen graphics made for a great final product.
Skookum Kids Foster Stories
Since 2017, we've worked with Skookum Kids on their ongoing series, Foster Stories. Typically shot in a half day, we tell the story of someone who's experienced foster care: a family, volunteers, even kids. These stories share the realities of foster care, and showcase Skookum Kids as the incredible resource it is in our community!
First Federal Community Features
First Fed (formerly First Federal) is a regional bank, with a focus on serving the people in its local communities. They approached our team to create a series of ads that featured their small business and organization partners. These ads then screened in local movie theaters throughout the region.
We did three sets of these ads, one for Bellingham and Whatcom County, another for Bainbridge Island, and a third for Silverdale/Kitsap County. Below are a few examples.
R.E.A.L Series with Whatcom Family Farmers
Whatcom Family Farmers is a local nonprofit advocacy group, dedicated to supporting our community's small, family-owned farms and promoting sustainable agriculture practices. Their REAL Series tells the stories of farmers going above and beyond, taking big steps to enact environmentally friendly practices. Each of these videos were shot in a half day on location—proof that it doesn't take a ton of time to shoot incredible content!

Bellingham Tonight Pivots to Tell Community Stories
Veritas Media launched Bellingham Tonight in the fall of 2019. Our team was gearing up for Season 2 and we had big plans, like a weekly sports update and monthly content featuring local movers and shakers. In March 2020, however, COVID-19 hit and our plans of filming our show in front of a live audience, as well as reporting on local sports, were thrown out the window.
Knowing we couldn't gather in person, and that we were living through some unprecedented times, we set out to do what we thought would make a difference by telling the stories of our community through video. This time, instead of a talk show we recorded a series of conversations with people where they were at—mostly at home via Zoom.
Our conversations focused on what different leaders were doing in our community—how they were adapting, changing and pivoting. We told stories of remarkable re-tooling to support our healthcare workers and how everyday people were getting involved and helping out.
