Meet Josh Burdick

Josh Burdick founded Veritas Media in 2011. He’s a self-taught handyman, adventurous cook, and enjoys hiking, cycling, and cruising around town on his Rad Wagon with his two kids. He loves his wife Nicole, and their two kids Abby and Andy, Josh is also fantastic at finding a great deal on Craigslist and public surplus auctions.

Josh has a true passion and love for Whatcom County which is why he started Veritas Media. In 2019 Josh and the Veritas team created Bellingham Tonight to create community conversations. When COVID hit the country, Josh pivoted Veritas Media to help local businesses and organizations stay relevant by launching Bellingham Now, a short-run series featuring virtual interviews with business leaders and community voices across the community. By providing local information during difficult times, Josh and his team were able to become leaders in the area to help. In 2021 Josh and the Veritas team helped Whatcom County’s nonprofits raise over 1.8 million dollars through virtual and live-streamed events

Josh graduated from Trinity Western University with a BA in Communications in 2011. He managed two video studios and a team of instructional designers at Faithlife, and then in 2015, Josh decided to take Veritas full-time and grew it to 8 employees over the course of 6 years. In 2017 Veritas was nominated for Small Business of the Year. In 2018 Josh was nominated Man of the Year for the Bellingham Regional Chamber of Commerce.

In 2022, Josh was nominated as a finalist for Business Person of the Year with the Whatcom Business Alliance. In October, he was recognized in the Whatcom Young Professionals Top 7 under 40 as the Whatcom Young Professional of the Year.
