Augusta Landscaping Summit 2023 | Event Recording
Augusta Lawn Care wanted a polished and smooth experience for their large industry-wide conference, where they provide workshops and speaking sessions on the business side of landscaping. With a number of speakers and panelists presenting over multiple days, Augusta chose to have Veritas provide audio/visual support as well as chose to capture different workshops in an event recording. This added 2 static cameras and stage lights to their setup, and required editing pass on their footage following the event.

Bellingham Chamber of Commerce Awards 2022
After a two-year hiatus, the Bellingham Regional Chamber of Commerce brought back their Annual Awards Dinner in 2022, using video to share the stories behind the businesses and individuals honored for three categories: Lifetime Achievement, Large Business of the Year, and Small Business of the Year.
2022 Light in the Night Gala
Lighthouse Mission wanted their 2022 fundraising gala to help attendees to experience the heart of what they do—connect with people and grow supportive relationships. The video solution was a set of three interview-based, storytelling pieces to be played throughout the evening.
These videos provided an introduction to the evening, a chance to celebrated the stories of several Lighthouse Mission guests, and a heartfelt call-to-action from Lighthouse Mission staff as well as CEO & President Hans Erchingler-Davis.
In the end, the Lighthouse Mission exceeded their fundraising goals and the evening was a great success!

2022 Whatcom Business Awards
Since it was the Whatcom Business Alliance's first large, in-person event since 2019, organizers decided to spotlight nominees in several categories with video. Working with 8 different businesses and individuals over the process of several weeks, the Veritas team captured interviews in-studio and footage on-location throughout Whatcom County, allowing the event to showcase the history and heart of the individuals and businesses honored for 2022.
Business Person of the Year
Small Business of the Year
Lifetime Achievement
The Veritas team provided audio visual support for the evening ensuring a smooth and polished presentation experience for presenters, nominees and participants.
Whatcom READS, “Washington Black”
Whatcom READS, an annual program by the Whatcom County Library System, approached us looking to create a video for their 13th annual selection of Washington Black by Esi Edugyan.
Their project had several messaging goals: promote the annual event, discuss the 2021 book and how it relates to society now, and encourage the audience to get involved. This video was shared on Whatcom READS channels as part of the READS Week virtual programming.
We interviewed 4 people in our studio for the project, and also created some minor animations featuring promotional illustrations by local artist Julie DeFoer.
Lydia Place – Handbags for Housing
The premier event in Bellingham, Handbags for Housing deserved the VIP treatment.
When Lydia Place came to us to solve the problem of how to make their premier fundraising event possible during COVID-19, we got creative and asked ourselves, "what could we do to engage their donors, maintain the ethos of the original event, and still raise a bunch of money for a great cause?"
After some workshopping and decisions about what was possible and how to make the most out of their budget, we decided that with the number of moving pieces, this event didn't make sense to do a live stream, as we had done for Art for Housing. We ended up opting for a hybrid event where the full program was pre-produced and set to Premiere on YouTube, however, event VIPs got access to an exclusive Zoom experience where they could interact with the emcee, watch the show together, and play games with other attendees.
The VIP Experience
Lydia Place is known for being masterful creators of fundraising events, and this year's Handbags for Housing was no exception. To give their most passionate followers an experience they wouldn't forget, they invited their VIPs to purchase a VIP pass. With the pass, they'd get a VIP box hand-delivered by Lydia Place volunteers with all kinds of goodies that was unboxed together in the pre-event VIP Zoom room.
On the Veritas side, we set Lydia Place up with a comfortable set for their emcee, Shannon Day, to host the VIP feed from. She could see the over 75 attendees in the VIP Zoom room and carry on a two-way conversation with any of them. Her image was piped into Zoom using our broadcast equipment and professional cameras and microphones.
At the end of the day the event was an incredible success and Lydia Place was able to raise a lot of money to support their organization. We look forward to partnering together on other virtual and in-person events in the future! Learn more about Lydia Place and the work they do in our community at LydiaPlace.org.

Arthritis Foundation
This live stream included pre-produced content and a live feed from our studio in Bellingham, WA. The auction was emceed by the Executive Director and the auction conducted by an auctioneer—the emcee tag teamed the auction from off screen to accommodate proper social distancing.
For this live streamed virtual event we also included a pre-produced remote interview with a special guest—a boy who had appeared in another video the Arthritis Foundation had produced 6 years prior. Capturing his testimony helped to create an engaging experience for attendees and led to increased funding in the auction.
Lydia Place – Art for Housing
Virtual Event & Live Streamed Art Auction
Art for Housing is traditionally an in-person art soiree (see the 2019 recap video below) that gathers art aficionados from around the community to celebrate fine art. Lydia Place approached us to create an engaging online event that could celebrate local artists, bring people together (virtually), and raise money for their organization.
We hosted the live stream in our very own Studio V on Cornwall Ave in downtown Bellingham. Lydia Place brought in some of the art they wanted to highlight in the auction and we staged in the front lobby area. We added some pre-produced content and a slide deck to round out the experience and to allow for enough transition time between featuring different art pieces.
At the end of the day, an event that almost had to be cancelled was saved and Lydia Place was able to host a successful fundraiser!

Law Advocates – Law Day Breakfast
Benefit Breakfast goes Virtual
Every year for the past few years Law Advocates has hosted a breakfast gathering that brings together like-minded people who care about justice and advocacy for some of the most marginalized in our community. Only weeks into the initial outbreak of COVID-19 in the United States, Law Advocates was forced to cancel their in-person gathering which left them without any clear way to raise the funds they needed to continue their programming.
Initially they were planning to do a simple Zoom meeting that would provide the platform for people to connect and for their keynote speakers to present. We knew there was a better option and proposed doing a live stream instead.
Michael Heatherly, the Executive Director, hosted the virtual benefit and facilitated the conversation with the guest speakers and attendees. The three guest speakers were featured remotely and we incorporated their slideshow presentations—we ran the slide decks for the presenters so that we could seamlessly switch between the speaker's face and their material, without them having to share their screen.
At the end of the day, Law Advocates was very pleased with the attendance and with the money they were able to raise that day to support their programs.

WWU: Paint the Town Blue Recap
2018 Light in the Night Gala
After the success of our 2016 project, we were thrilled when Lighthouse Mission Ministries approached us again in 2018 for their annual gala.
With this video, LMM wanted to highlight the variety of support programs they provide, including: Street Connect, the Drop-In Center, Agape Home, The Mission & the New Life Program.
We covered these programs by taking the viewer through the journey that a homeless individual would follow. We also shared 3 stories of success to illustrate the importance of LMM in Bellingham. In one day of production, we were able to interview 5 people who have experienced homelessness, and received support with LMM. While we were not able to feature all 5, we were able to edit short vignettes for each individual. LMM is sharing these success story videos on their social media channels, in their blog, and in their email marketing to generate donations.
