By far one of the most meaningful projects for our team this year was helping to celebrate this year’s graduating seniors who had no in-person ceremony to attend. We had literally 30 calendar days to pull off four fully produced graduation ceremonies for the Bellingham School District—in a format that had never been tried before. We were blown away by the response of our community and by the outpouring of the kind words and sentiments shared by and for the graduating class of 2020.
All of the graduations were pre-produced to ensure that we had control over the content and that the ceremony would stay on schedule. It was important to us that we include student voices in each ceremony so each school’s video has a slightly different feel while keeping the key components of the ceremony intact.
Students had a chance to speak, as did faculty. We also gave the music departments at each school license to get creative with remote performances.
